Who we are

CitizenReady UK ("we", "us") is an independent free study site operated from London, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for any personal data you provide directly to us. You can contact us at hello@citizenready.uk.

What information we collect

The site does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, your email address, your immigration status or any other personal information. The only information we receive about you is what your browser shares automatically with our web server: your IP address, the pages you request, the time of the request and your user-agent string. This information is logged for security and fraud prevention and is automatically deleted after 30 days.

Cookies

CitizenReady UK does not set any first-party cookies of its own. Third-party cookies may be set by the advertising networks that fill the four ad slots on every page (currently Google AdSense). Those cookies are governed by the relevant provider's own privacy notice. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies entirely without breaking the functionality of this site.

Advertising

The site is funded by display advertising served via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting adssettings.google.com. The four reserved slots on every page (header, in-content, sidebar, footer) are the only locations where ads will ever appear; we do not run pop-ups, interstitials or video pre-rolls.

Analytics

We use a privacy-first analytics setup that records the URL requested and an anonymised geographic region. We do not record fingerprintable information about your device, do not link page-views together into a session, and do not use any third-party analytics provider that requires personal data to be transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Your rights under the UK GDPR

Because we hold no personal data about you, most data subject rights under the UK GDPR (such as the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data) do not apply in any meaningful way. If you have nonetheless interacted with us by email, you have the right to ask for a copy of any correspondence we hold, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We respond to all rights requests within one month.

Changes to this policy

If we change the way we handle data we will publish an updated policy here and change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be summarised on the home page for at least 30 days.
